ROSA P serves as an archival repository of USDOT-published products including scientific findings, journal articles, guidelines, recommendations, or other information authored or co-authored by USDOT or funded partners.
As a repository, ROSA P retains documents in their original published format to ensure public access to scientific information.
To provide an all encompassing technology document was beyond the scope of this particular effort. Consequently, the new technology introduced with this updated document focused on selected topics which were considered by the authors to be of prime importance to U.S. Coast Guard personnel. New technologies were selected and added to this edition of the Technology Reference Document. These topics were
arbitrarily selected based on industry and DoD trends and technology feasibility. Since many areas of telecommunications technology were undergoing rapid evolution, comments were anticipated and were actively solicited for eventual inclusion into future editions of this document.
